"Everybody" knows that Flash Web sites aren't searchable, right?

It's almost a guarantee that if something is universally known, then it will be proven wrong. And the adage about Flash Web sites not being search engine friendly doesn't have to be true. If you follow the suggestions on the Adobe Developer Center article Making Flash websites searchable your Flash Web sites will be more accessible too.

Google absolutely does index flash movies, but they won’t use a flash based navigation system. So, if you have a interactive flash based navigation system and you want to be search engine friendly, always make sure to have a redundant html based navigation system at the foot of the page.

SEO for flash is possible. Just use this method and you’ll see how great it is. It’s even better than all the tricks for optimizing your HTML-website.

I’ve just tested for Saeyheating.com. If you used the keyword “saey” in Google.be, it was almost not possible to find the site. At the moment, with this new method, were are at position n°1 !
