Use the Google Transcoder to simplify your pages
Wednesday November 22, 2006
Okay, the Google Transcoder was built as a search engine for cell phones, but it also can help reduce the complexity and visual clutter on Web pages.

Once you've searched for something through the transcoder, any page you click on from there will be transcoded for cell phone use as well. Developers can use this tool to see how their page shows up in cell phones or to get an idea of how to modify your page to work well on screen readers and other assistive devices.

Was this a teleconference presentation? If so, will it be reproduced?
Hi Al, I’m not sure what you mean when you ask if this was a teleconference. The Google Transcoder is a Web site - I linked to it in the post.
Great information. You will want to correct a small spelling error though..
Make Your Alt Text Actually Reaable
Thanks Patrick - that was an ironic typo, wasn’t it?
OK i got it!
i can now see what a http website would perhaps look like in a mobile screen(preview)
but could you give me the idea on how to view mobile web pages in my computer? (coz my mobile service provider charges me a lot for just finding 1 good download link to a wap site)
sorry for my ignorance
