A company logo is an important part of any business. It helps set the tone and gives you a baseline for your branding efforts.

But what makes a good Web design company logo? Should you just have the company name? Or do you want some graphic to represent your company?

Vote Now

Challenge #5 is to create a Web design company logo. You can use one that you're already using or create a brand new one. If you're stuck for ideas check one of the following sites. The only thing I ask is that you not submit logos for large, well-known companies.

The Rules

  • Create a design for a logo for a Web design company.
  • The URL should point to a page where the logo is in use. A sample page is fine.
  • Write in the comments how you built it (what program you used, how you decided on the style, etc.)
  • All designs that you create are yours to keep and you retain all rights to that design, you only agree to have a screen shot taken of the design and a link to the page will be on this site for voting.
  • Please note that I won't be linking to the Web design site itself, but to the logo. Submissions should include a reference URL to the logo or a page displaying just the logo - not your Web design company.
  • Also, comments should be about the logo not your design company. Submissions that appear to just be ads, without any other redeeming quality will not be published.

Fill in this form to submit your design. Submissions are due by midnight on January 28, 2007. Voting will begin within a week after that.

Have fun!

Jennifer,
You said ‘If you’re stuck for ideas check one of the following sites.’ Can’t see any links that lead to examples or were you referring to templates on your site?

John: the three links below that paragraph they aren’t links to actual logos, but to sites that talk about how to build logos (and the clipart one has some templates you could modify).

Gary: sure, fictitious is fine.

I had to use an Audi logo – my TT was feeling jealous that I hadn’t photo’d her for the Web site lately… :-)

Is Challenge #5 still in progress? Not seen any results or voting yet.

Dear Sir or Madam:

At ALLENETICS, we provide recruiting services to the technology and engineering industries. I believe you will find our service delivery and cost to be superior to our competition whether it is volume recruiting or single position staff augmentation. In fact, there is no obligation to giving us a try. If we can fulfill your requirements, then you pay us for our services. And if we can’t, then you have no obligation to us. It is simple and that is the way that we like things. If you have a vendor management program in place, we can work within the parameters of that too. If you are the not the proper point of contact, could you please direct me to the person with whom I should be communicating to become a preferred vendor for your company.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Chris Allen
