Poll: Where do you do your Web design work?
Thursday November 8, 2007
One of the nicest things about doing Web design is that you can work from almost anywhere, including outside, in a coffee shop, or in a traditional office environment. Where do you do most of your Web design work? Are some places easier to work than others? What makes one location better or worse?

How about a option for 50-50. I work at a corporate office for about 20 hours a week and the other 20 or so at home. Actually I just like to throw a monkey whench into the equation:-)
Same goes for me. I do web design professionally (40 hrs) and as a side job at home.
I said library because I work in a library. Kind of a trick answer.
I work at my “L” shaped desk in our office / studio. It is not a large space, just 10 x 12, but it works.
If I am making a new page, I’ll sketch the layout on a piece of paper first. If it is an update for a page I’ll cut the text from the email and paste it into the appropriate location(s).
I spend about a hour a week looking on the internet for new ideas for page layouts / templates.
I use simple programs like Irfanview and 1st Page 2000 for designing and Dynamicdrive for a simple gallery or slideshow.
I do not make “whiz bang” Flash sites …. but I get the clients information out where they want it.

In the begining I used to do my webdesgin work at home in a quiet weather, since I was a fresh in this field. But now, there is no difference for me to do my web design work either
at my home or at a coffe shop.
Some times the place that I ‘m doing my webdesign work at,gives me ideas to creat a new look for my web pages.
