What is geotagging?

Monday June 30, 2008
Last week I wrote a poll asking if you geotag, and a lot of people said they don't - that their pages don't need to be tagged with a location. But is that really true? Once you understand what geotagging is and what it can do, you might change your mind. There are uses for geotagging beyond simply tagging where a photo was taken. And if you run a website for a retail business or tourist spot, geotagging becomes essential (or it soon will).

Thanks for the comment Frank. If I don’t know what it is, then what do you think it is?
