Outsourcing content for your site has some pitfalls

Sunday November 16, 2008
One way to get additional content for your website is to outsource the development of that content. In fact, I'm in the process of looking into doing something like that for one of my sites. And one thing I'll be sure to do is watch out for plagiarism. As that article from The Strategic Sourceror explains, sometimes getting outsourced content can cause more problems than it solves. Especially when you have very short deadlines, some people may be tempted to copy and paste articles for you. While your company did not do the copying directly, you can still be held liable for copyright infringement.
