I use all these tools: Top Five Web Design Tools, they really are great. What are your favorite Web design tools?

I do not list prices because my prices are not specifically set. Maybe I charge $50 an hour, but when I estimate a job I always under estimate. I usually end up making significantly less per hour. I do have a set range for a plain brochure site with 5 – 7 pages and little graphic work. Everything else is a bid depending on the project. I have done as much calling around as possible to see what people are charging.

Is there an objective way to find out what is being charged in your area?

I have to say I’m a proponent of open source so I like GIMP, Inkscape, Notepad++, and Firebug.

I write a lot of code, not just HTML and CSS, and have found Notepad++ invaluable.
