Follow me on:

This is the first annual About.com Web Design Reader's Choice Awards for the best designed websites. For the next month, I will be accepting nominations for the best designed websites in 9 different categories. Then in May, we'll have the opportunity to vote for the websites that are the best.

Nominations close on April 30, 2009.

The Categories Are

  • Best Overall Web Design
Nominate the site that you think is the best designed website you've ever seen.
  • Best Designed Web Designer's Website
This is specifically for Web designers. Which Web designer has the best looking company site?
  • Best Designed Ecommerce Site
Companies that are trying to sell something need to have good looking design, nominate the best ecommerce site you know of
  • Best Designed Product Page
Selling products is tricky, you need to get a lot of information onto the page to get people to buy. What is the best product page you've ever seen?
  • Best Designed Information Web Page
But not all pages are written to sell something. Nominate the best information Web page.
  • Best Designed Web Form
Nominate the Web form that makes the best use of design.
  • Most Original Web Design
Nominate the page or site that you feel shows the most original design.
  • Best Use of Color in Web Design
Nominate the site that best uses color in their design.
  • Best Use of Images in Web Design
Nominate the site that best uses images in their design.

Feel free to nominate your own sites in any of the categories. But please don't nominate the same site for more than two categories. Tell your friends! The more nominations a site gets, the more likely it will be on the list for voting.

Check back on May 4, 2009, to see which sites have been chosen and to vote for the winners.
