Web Design Software Pick of the Week: GIMP

Sunday June 14, 2009
GIMP
GIMP is one of the best known free graphics editors around. It is an open source tool available as source code from Gimp.org or there are installers for both Windows and Macintosh users. Gimp has a lot of features and can be extended through plug-ins to do even more. This is a good software package for Web designers because it is freely available and has a lot of the same tools as more expensive graphics software.

Ok, GIMP is good for professional webdesigners. For me, PHP/MySQL websitemaker, PhotoFiltre is much friendly in using it and making it possible to produce nice practical graphics without having to indulge first in the graphic design terminology and ways of thinking.
