Getting people to come visit your Web pages can be difficult, but social media provides more outlets for us to find people of like mind and present your content to them. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of other social media sites that I didn't list on this poll. If you use one even semi-regularly to promote your website or Web pages, let us know what it is in the comments of this post. Don't forget to include a URL so that we can check it out. Where do you promote your Web pages?

A WordPress blog in conjunction with a website really helps with search engine visibility, especially if you’re careful to use the tags feature with precision and relevancy.

Also, don’t forget to utilize the power of niche social apps/forums — such as Ravelry.com for a yarn shop’s website, or The Knot or Bridal Insider for a wedding gown boutique’s website.

I’m mot sure if review sites such as Yelp and Kudzu fall into the “social” media category, but encouraging happy customers to review the business drives real, quantifiable conversion ($$$) for one of my customers.
