I got a Skribbit suggestion/question today that read:
Is there a way to test web pages for the Safari browser when you only have a PC?The short answer is "yes". :-) Seriously, there are several ways you can test on Safari:
- Download Safari for Windows
- Sign up for Adobe BrowserLab
- Use BrowserCam or another browser testing tool

I don’t know if there are any PC-Mac inconsistencies, but I think the best way to test is by installing the Windows version. That is, if you don’t find the onion skin feature vital.
How funny! I downloaded safari for windows just a few days ago for this reason.
I have found though that if you test your sites in ie7, firefox and the dreaded ie6 your sites should be just fine on safari.
I think with the growth of the iphone and macs safari will become more and more popular

From my personal experience safari is not the same (win and mac), certain pages look different in PC-safari and MAC-safari.
Maybe versions, maybe os.. I don’t know.
I have problem with my HP PC using the Safari sotware. I have a 64 bit machine and the Safari product loaded up with no problem.
However I have come ascross problems when using it with my Docusign application as a Realtor.
Also on some website it forces up the pop-up webpages and makes me acknowledge them before I move on. This never happened with my IE8 on the same pages.
Also it constantly asks me to download the new Adobe 10 java script. (might be another script), nevertheless it does not allow me to downlpoad it even when asking me to do so.
It tells me to shut down safari to load script and then when I do it does not start when I restart safari.
There is no support for the product unless you pay for it so I do not know what to do except uninstall it and go back to my more reliable IE8.
It looks slick and sexy …but just like Josie Fox in my high school class … it does not deliver on everything you are lead to believe and there are cliches under the hood.
there are diferences between win and mac version …
Nice of you to be so specific! Do you have any REAL differences to report? If so, I could sure use the insight; I have a (potential) customer that claims he’s seeing things on his MAC that I cannot see – and several friends with MACs do not see either. I don’t WANT to think he’s just blowing smoke “up there”, but. . .
