Sometimes it seems like most people write blogs or Web pages. And so writing content for Web pages is very common. But do you write content for websites other than your own? Many Web designers don't do any content - they get it all from the company that is requesting the website.

I tried to do participate in your poll but it didn’t work for some odd reason.

I only write when the client is really resistant to do it themselves. Most clients will give me all content up front, as I require, but some think that websites write themselves. :S

My site is not done yet, but when it is, I’ll be having a blog on it.
Otherwise I don’t write for clients, but I would be glad to SEO their copy instead.

I do all of the content development for our company website, and when requested I write for our clients. Most of the time I end up doing some minor editing because writing for the web is much different than writing for print. Typically, we require all content before we start a web design project.

I wrote the content for our company’s website.
Most of our clients, those who want a targeted Web Design, come with their own text. Some ask for advice, some not. But, most of them have to make changes for SEO optimization.
