This site looks good to me too. It is well organized and presented.

Great idea! I like seeing other sites’ layouts and innovations. I’m not very creative, myself, so it’s nice to see what works well on other sites.

(3) Demetria says:

Looks good! I like how the 3 columns were creatively displayed and it still looks well put together.

(4) Paul Fougere says:

I am not in love with this web page; to me it is much too cluttered and noisy and confusing.

It’s a good looking site, but I’m curious why you like it so much. A while back you said in one of your blogs that tables are out and that you wouldn’t hire someone that designs using tables. The source code for SFGate.com is full of tables, being used for positioning. As a rookie designer, I’m just trying to understand if I should be steering away from tables or not. Please comment on this.

Thanks

I wasn’t looking at the HTML of this site, but rather the design. Plus, I didn’t submit it – a reader did. :-) It might not make it to my top 10 list of best looking sites, but for a 3-columned site it does just fine.

In terms of building the site, using CSS would be better than using tables, but without looking at the HTML (which I did not) I can’t tell that it’s using tables.
