Choosing a Font Stack Order Can be Challenging

Once you've found the perfect font for your Web page, it can be hard to choose any others. But a good Web designer recognizes that not everyone has the font resources that we have on our computers. So font stacks are critical to make sure that the computer itself doesn't pick the font.

Others use substitutes like SIFR, Cufon, etc. I’m not keen on these, so I would just apply the @font-face property (if there is a crucial font that needs to be there) and provide a stack order for the old browsers.

I’m not against images as text, but I wouldn’t use them if I can avoid them.
