I’m not a fan of sound on a site, but think the poll reinforces that point better.
On other points, navigation is clear, and you have designed a strong identity for the site.
Maybe try using GIF or PNG images with a transparent background so you don’t have the white square around them. Also there are a few elements overlapping in Firefox and Chrome (some text and images), so maybe test in a couple of different browsers other than IE.

I agree. The music on the site can be overbearing. If you need to provide it then it will be better if the pause button is clearly visible. Although my advice will be to not have it on auto play. In terms of the overall design, the rest of the usability and navigation is not too bad. It is quite functional. Although the design looks a bit dated. Modern design trends are more minimalist and use sharp images to give it some colour.
