I believe you can be both. There are many freelancers who have to have some skills in both discipline’s. In an ideal world a developer would hire a designer and vice versa but that’s not always possible.
@thenbman: Yes, I believe you can be both as well. But I had to laugh at that graphic, as I’ve met designers who completely fit the mold and developers who fit the other side too.
It’s so funny. But to me not true. I’m both designer and developer (and a woman). Actually this generalisation can bring me only problems because there are lots of people that belive if you are good designer you can’t be also good developer and vice versa.
Huh, that one killed me. If I get such a t-shirt it will have both things written on it.
I think if you successfully mold both stereotypes into one, you might manage to knock out at least 5 of the fear factors, including “women”
