HTML 5 Logo
The W3C announced a new logo for HTML 5. You can use it to announce to the world that you use HTML 5. You can also specify what other modern technology you use or enjoy, such as: CSS 3, SVG, video and multimedia, offline storage, and so on. But there are a lot of opinions about this new logo. Do we need it? Is it trying to do too much (encompassing CSS 3 and so on)? Should it have a more specific meaning (such as validity)? What do you think? Do you like the new HTML 5 logo? Why or why not?

The super-hero like badge is nice, sure. But while many large clients are still pondering over if they should upgrade from IE7 and many are not even off 1st base with CMS, writing for web, optimizing graphics and how to upload video to google, understanding analytics correctly…. list goes on…..
Moving them into the wonderful brave new world of why they need an HTML5 (and attributes) site and how it will change their business for the better will be an up-hill sales pitch. Thats before they even want to flaunt the logo as a medal of modernity.

But, yeh… cool logo Super-5, cant wait to see the glossy black patent boots and orange cape too… :^)

Don’t care for it — reminds me of my grandson’s Transformer toy logos.
