Screen shot of the Float the Navigation Layout
I've been playing around with various aspects of design lately, specifically the CSS clear property and CSS heights. And while testing them, I built some layouts to try them out. So I thought I'd share these layout templates with you. The first one I call my Float the Navigation Layout and it shows you how you can put a navigation menu inside your content container with interesting results. The second one is a layout that should fit inside one view port screen in 95% of screen resolutions. This is a great layout if you are worried that your readers won't scroll. While scroll bars will appear in content areas on small screens (and with large amounts of content), they appear right next to the content that needs to scroll, so it's a bit more obvious than the standard right-hand scroll bar. I call this the Fits in One Screen Layout. And if those layouts don't work for you, I have created lots of free web templates you can use and modify for your own websites.
