Check out this fun interactive map of the world. Share pictures, view stories, and interact with this online map to learn more about parts of the world you might never have seen before. This is a great application done with HTML5--not Flash. Even though it looks like it is. This site doesn't work spectacularly on the iPad, unfortunately, the camera lens is not set up for touch dragging. But it's a good start.
