Generate your image assets in Photoshop CC
I know that normally my weekly inspiration post is about a website that is inspiring, but this week I'm going to talk about a tool that just came out that I find really inspiring. The tool is Photoshop CC in the latest version (14.1) they released an addition that I find really useful for web designers who build mockups of websites in Photoshop—Generator.
Before Generator, if you did a mockup of your design, once you were ready to move that design to HTML and CSS you had to spend a lot of time cutting out the images and saving them for the web and then adding them to your design. Generator makes all that effort a thing of the past. With Generator you just select the layer that you want to use as your image, and with a few easy steps the Generator will save that layer as a web-ready JPG, GIF, or PNG file with the settings you want. Plus, you can have it create images that are smaller or larger or a specific size (scaled) all by changing the layer name.
I found this so inspiring that I've been busy working on a bunch of designs for the last few days. Find out more: Use Photoshop CC and Generator to Create Web Graphics
