If you use XML, you should understand its goals

XML is actually fairly easy to understand and use, but knowing the 10 design goals as set out by the W3C is helpful in allowing you to create XML that really will work. In this document, I go over the 10 design goals and explain each one and how you can use it to work with your XML documents.
