Poll: Who is the easiest to deal with?
Thursday January 18, 2007
I got a comment the other day that read "...don't get me started on clients...", which cracked me up.
But it also got me to thinking. Web design is a job that requires you work with other people. And other people can be annoying. Whether it's the client wanting the site to be "red, but not too red" or the manager who wants the site "live with AJAX 2.0 by 2pm today" or the other designers who are annoyed that you moved their image "13 pixels to the right, not 12" or the developers who can't stand that their "scripts don't need graphics", and so on. There's got to be someone easy to work with in this job - and no, you can't count yourself. ;-)

Reminds me of a great site that has lots of good “client” stories.

I’m deeply surprised at the current standings of this poll.
I also think I may have been the author of the quote at the start of the article, so what do I know?
I don’t remember who said the clients comment, but I could look it up if you really wanted to know.
I’m actually not surprised at the poll results. Why? Because if I make the assumption that most people reading this site consider themselves Web Designers, and most people like working with themselves best, then Web designers would find it easiest to work with other Web designers.
Now if I’d asked who is the HARDEST to work with, maybe I’d be more surprised…
But I was trying to keep it positive.
