This book shows you with great graphics what HotDog Pro is supposed to do. The layout of the book is superb with the graphics in the center, and the instructions to the sides. I especially like all the tips and tricks for getting more out of HotDog Pro.
The Visual Quickstart Guide takes you through HotDog Pro step by step. From getting the software and installing it, to customization, to building your first and many more Web pages. One of the advantages of HotDog Pro is that it makes some of the more complex HTML tasks simple, and this book shows you how to do it quickly and easily. For example, there are entire chapters devoted to tables, frames, image maps, javascript, and java.
Once you have created several pages, you'll want to set them up as a Web site. HotDog Pro and the Quickstart Guide again come to your rescue. You'll learn about how to create a Web site (HotDog Pro calls them "WebSites") and sub sites. Each site that you create within HotDog Pro can have it's own properties and settings to distinguish it from your other pages.
If you are trying to learn HTML, it can be difficult without the right tools. HotDog Pro is an HTML editor that you monitor the HTML. It is not WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get).
