Guide Review - Interspector
This is a product that offers a lot of scope and power to the web developer. I found that it had a lot of great features, but it still feels fairly young in terms of styling and usability.
I really liked the SmartTokens™ technology to include the same information across the entire website. It allows the developer to create headers, footers, and other constant information and simply include a token in the correct location on the web pages. It is similar to how SSI works, but it's included within the project file. Then when you save the project output files, they are saved as HTML with all the included sections within it.
The biggest flaw I would see in this product is that it is a single-user product only. But the developers have assured me that this will be coming in a future version. With this addition, this tool will become truly useful for web teams managing website projects.
Interspector is no longer available for purchase.
