In the great debate of WYSIWYG editors vs. hand coding HTML, I am often told that beginners are not helped by learning HTML. It's too hard or confusing. Most things that are worthwhile are hard to learn at first. But putting that argument aside, I think that Wanda (WREA) said it best on the forum: I feel that text or WYSIWYG... is a very personal choice. What I find sufficient, may be deeper than you wish to go, or vice versa. A beginner who just wants to put up a Web page might do best with a simple WYSIWYG editor. They are quick to learn, easy to use, and you can have a Web page as quickly as you can word process a document. But if that beginner wants to get a job as a Web Developer, some knowledge of the code is usually required. Next Page > Hiring Managers Speak Out > Page 1, 2, 3, 4 |
