Dateline: 10/26/1998
In order to celebrate my first year as an About.com Guide, I will give away some books on HTML and Web Development. Three lucky winners will get to choose from the following books:
- Web Publisher's Design Guide for Windows by Mary Jo Fahey
- Marketing Online for Dummies by Bud Smith and Frank Catalano
- Setting Up an Internet Site for Dummies by Jason Coombs, Ted Coombs, David Crowder, and Rhonda Crowder
- Selling Online for Dummies by Leslie Heeter Lundquist
- Style Sheets for HTML and XML by Frank Boumphrey
- XML by Elliotte Rusty Harold
- Using JavaScript by Andrew Wooldridge, Mike Morgan, Mark C. Reynolds, and Jerry Honeycutt
- HTML Sourcebook by Ian S. Graham
- Dynamic HTML Unleashed by Rick Darnell, et al.
The Rules
- Answer the following questions as correctly as possible. All questions will have answers somewhere on the HTML Web site.
- Answers should be posted to the HTML Bulletin Board.
- Answer as many questions as you can in the same posting.
- Include your name and email address in the posting.
- The first three people to answer the most number of questions correctly will win their choice of one of several books on HTML and Web Development.
- All entries should be posted to the bulletin board by October 31, 1998. Times will be recorded by the bulletin board program itself (EST, I believe).
- All winners will be chosen by me, and, in the event of a tie, answers that are creative and show individuality will win.
- I will notify the winners via email and make an announcement to the Bulletin Board.
- A bonus award will be given to the person who most creatively answers the two bonus questions, even if all the original questions were not answered correctly.
