Best CSS Books for Beginners

There is a lot to learn about Cascading Style Sheets, and sometimes the best way to learn it is with a book. These are some of my favorite CSS books for learning CSS. They work well for beginners, and several of them also provide a lot of information for more advanced CSS designers.

Dreamweaver MX 2004 Magic
This book has a lot of great projects with super ideas for improving your Dreamweaver Web site, but be sure to test everything on multiple browsers before you publish. This is not a book for learning advanced techniques, as the solutions are primarily found in the CD and not defined in the book itself.
Dreamweaver MX Hands on Training
If you learn by doing and you want to learn Dreamweaver, then this book is a must-have.

Official Guide to Programming with CGI.pm
This book is not for beginning Perl scripters, but once you're comfortable with writing CGIs with Perl, you will find that CGI.pm will help you to write CGIs more quickly.

XML Pocket Reference
This small book offers the advanced developer the chance to learn XML concepts quickly. It also provides a strong reference for XSLT, XLink, and XPointer.
XML Topic Maps
This is a very specialized book, but if you're involved in knowledge management or XML this is a good book to pick up.
XPath, XLink, XPointer, and XML
Linking between different types of documents is vital to make a robust Web and this book covers the basics and more of hyperlinking with XML.
XSL Companion
This book covers what you need to know about XSL, but there are many other books and Web sites that do as good or better a job.
