ColdFusion is an application server that allows developers to create dynamic and interactive websites using the ColdFusion Markup Language or CFML. If you have access to a ColdFusion web server, your hosting provider provides ColdFusion access, or you run a ColdFusion application server, then ColdFusion Builder is a useful tool. It provides you with the integrated development environment for creating CFM files quickly and deploying them effectively to your website. ColdFusion Builder is not a good general-purpose web editor as it requires that you have access to a ColdFusion server to work, but if you do, it’s a great way to create your ColdFusion files.
There are several versions of ColdFusion for the server:
