How to Fight Copyright Violations - Get Your Content Off Other Sites

Content Contains Google AdSense Ads

Many plagiarizers copy content so that they can post ads. And the most common advertising system is Google's AdSense. But AdSense terms and conditions require that the content not be stolen, so you can request that AdSense remove ads from these pages. Typically, when asked by Google AdSense, the person copying your content will simply remove the copy rather than lose their AdSense revenue on the rest of the site.

Google reqiures that you send them a postal mail letter or fax to report copyright violations.

  1. Write a letter to Google. Google has a very specific format they want you to send copyright violation noticies. I've posted a sample letter on my site that follows their format exactly.
  2. Sign the paper.
  3. Send the written communication to the following address:
    Google, Inc.
Attn: Google Legal Support, AdSense DMCA Complaints
    1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
    Mountain View, CA 94043
  4. OR fax to:
    (650) 618-2680, Attn: Google AdSense Support, DMCA Complaints

You can also report sites that appear in Google search in a similar way. Follow the instructions on the Google DMCA Policies page for more information.
