The Properties panel is typically at the bottom of the page, open, to show you what your current attributes and information are or could be. It sets everything from the links if you're linking text or an image, a browse window to link to other documents in your site, bold, italics, and more. This panel changes depending upon what is currently under the cursor, and provides you with the information you need to create superior Web pages.
