Turn on Visual Aids

When you're going to build a frameset in Dreamweaver the first thing you should do is turn on the visual aids. These are off by default, and without them on it can be very difficult to see your frames and the frameset they are set within.

To turn on the frames visual aids:

  1. Go to the View menu
  2. Choose "Visual Aids"
  3. Make sure that "Frame Borders" has a check mark next to it
