Dreamweaver CS5 added a lot of great new features to Dreamweaver, but one that many newcomers will appreciate is how easy it is to create a new site.
In previous versions of Dreamweaver, you had to know information about your hosting provider, if you were using a version control system, and lots of other things.
But with Dreaweaver CS5, all you need to know is what you want to call your website, and the name of the folder you want to store it in on your hard drive.
How to Create a New Site in Dreamweaver CS5
- In the
Sitemenu, chooseNew Site... - Fill in the
Site Namewith the name of your new website - Fill in the
Site Local Folderwith the folder you want to store it in - Click
Save
You can then start creating new web pages in your Dreamweaver site.
When you're ready to upload your pages to the internet, Dreamweaver will prompt you with how to do that.
