Use GeoCities to Write HTML Online

By Jennifer Kyrnin, About.com

It is possible to write a Web page completely online. Geocities makes it easy to do so. And for people using non-computers to access the Internet (such as MSN TV/WebTV), this may be the only way for you to create your Web pages.

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 5 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Go to http://geocities.yahoo.com/
  2. Sign up for an account, if you do not have one. The free accounts are still available, look under "Try GeoCities for Free!".
  3. Choose "HTML Editor" to edit the HTML on your Web page.

Tips:

  1. Use GeoCities, or other online Web editing tools to write your homework for the XHTML 101 class.
  2. You can also get to the HTML editor from within the file manager.
  3. Please note, the Web Design Guide and the Web Design/HTML site at About.com are in no way affiliated with GeoCities. If these instructions do not work, please let me know, and I'll endeavor to rewrite them - but I can't guarantee that they will stay current.
