Homesite will validate that the links on your Web site work correctly with a simple command. You can check the links for the entire site, for selected files in the site, or for just the current page.

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 2 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Open a project in Homesite.
  2. Open the Tools Menu and click on Verify Project with Linkbot
  3. If you're prompted to download Linkbot, you'll need to use the second option - go to step 4.
  4. Go to the project menu and choose Verify Project Links (Shift+Alt+L).
  5. If you want to verify the links only on the current page, you can go to the Tools menu and click Verify Links.

Tips:

  1. Homesite can connect with Linkbot to verify links, but Watchfire no longer offers Linkbot, so you'll need to use the default link checker that comes with Homesite.
