If you have a contract that states that you'll deliver 2 prototypes to a client, as Yana did, then that is what you should deliver. If the client turns around and says that he can't accept these prototypes, then you need to renegotiate the contract. While I do agree that Yana's "Client B" was trying to get something extra for nothing, since she did it without renegotiating the contract, she has to live with the consequences. Frustrating!

One day we have receive a project from one client (we have never worked with him before). The project was very interesting and we were very excited to start working on it.We have made some agreement accordingly to that we will present 2 visual concepts of web design for the client to choose from. Here I need to mention that the client was a mediator (lets call him client B.) and we didn't know who is the real client. So we have made 2 concepts (accordingly to requirements and I do believe we have done them professionaly) and sent them to our client B. We have got this reply on the next day: "I'm really sorry and I'm very frustrated. I can't even send it to the real client since I know him very well and I'm sure he won't like it. " We felt ourselves a bit guilty. Although I've tried to convince the B. that our designes are good and he can present these ideas as rough sketches at least and if client won't accept any of them we will make a new one and actually we will know in w! hat direction to move then. But B. refused to do that. What could I do? I decided to create one more concept for him. And we did it. He liked it very much and told me that he will send it to the real client and tell me the feedback. So we were waiting. We were sure that he will send only one concept. But when we got his reply we were shocked. Our client B. has sent all three concepts to the real client (although he told us he CAN'T send such unprofessional designs) and client LIKES our first concept very much. I was very angry. This client simply tried to cheat. He didn't want to pay us for the third concept and that's why he told us all that lie. So what's the morale? Be careful and don't allow somebady to cheat you. And of course contract and some serious agreement - will be very helpful in your work!
