It's really common for Web designers to take on the work of other Web designers. And it's also very common to bad-mouth the work of your predecessors. :-) But I have to wonder if this time, Nelson Design Studio's prior competitor knew something about the client that NDS didn't...

In the middle of one right now. I created a web site for a client of mine (well not anymore at this point) that was a complete rebuild because the original site was build by the guys son who never actually finished the site and did an awful job with the programming. So not only did I have a bunch of things to correct and undo but I completed the job in record time, while writing and designing the entire site.

I have to date only been paid for half of the work I have done for this person, meanwhile their web site is up and finished on the web and helping to promote their business....
