A WebTV element that displays text as double-weight bold.

CDATA. The text that the designer wants doubly bold. The following tags are valid within the <blackface> tag:
a, abbr, acronym, applet, b, basefont, bdo, big, br, button, cite, code, dfn, em, font, i, iframe, img, input, kbd, label, map, object, q, s, samp, script, select, small, span, strike, strong, sub, sup, textarea, tt, u, var

<blackface> Valid Context:

The <blackface> tag is valid within the following tags:
a, abbr, acronym, address, applet, b, bdo, big, blockquote, body, button, caption, center, cite, code, dd, del, dfn, div, dt, em, fieldset, font, FOMR, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, i, iframe, ins, kbd, label, legend, li, noframes, noscript, object, p, pre, q, s, samp, small, span, strike, strong, sub, sup, td, th, tt, u, var

<blackface> Usage:

  • blackface versus bold
    this text is <blackface>blackface</blackface> and this text is <b>bold</b>

<blackface> Special Notes:

  • This is an MSN TV or WebTV tag, and will not display on any other browsers.
  • As you can see from the above example (in the WebTV browser) <blackface></blackface> is slightly different from bold, but don't expect that that will make it easy for your customers to differentiate the two.
  • It is recommended that you avoid this tag in favor of style sheets.
