Comments from Jennifer Kyrnin: This is a very image intensive design, and a lot of it could be done with CSS and styles and make the page load a lot more quickly. There is also a large amount of JavaScript that doesn't seem to work. In reworking this design I would start with these two elements: decide which images are absolutely required to move the design forward, and how much of it is either navigation or background. In my opinion there are only two images absolutely required by this design - the logo in the upper left, and the photo of the kids holding the slide (minus the headline over the top of it, the yellow background, and the "tell us your story" banner). Then I would take a look at the color scheme. Right now there are 6 different flat colors on the design - and none of them really stand out as the base color for the site. The orangey red background is too bright. The yellow pattern with two colors competes very violently with the logo. And the two blues and purple all fight one another, as well as making the yellow in the word carpet look almost puce. Then I would look at the content of the page. Right now, there is almost no text content, which means that this page will never get really good search engine placement. Unless you rely on some other form of marketing, I would get more text content onto this page - including alt text for images, navigation text, and short descriptions of the company and the product.
