Comments from developer: I wanted a "WOW" factor that demonstrates my knowledge in color theory while maintaining a clean and user friendly navigation. I especially wanted my site to feel friendly and creative, not white button down and tie required. I wanted to appeal to the small business owner since that is who I am.

Comments from Jennifer Kyrnin: This page is very wide. I have my browser set to 1024x768, and there was a horizontal scrollbar until I widened it. I would take one of the 5 samples off the home page, and narrow the whole site down a little, so that it fits in a slightly narrower window width. The black text on blue background is hard to read. And I'm not sure what benefit the little icons do for the navigation. The navigation might be easier for many people to use if the icons were removed and it was converted to a simple text menu. Lacey should examine her alt text to make sure it's saying the same thing as the text in the images. Better yet, text images should be converted to text - text is easier to maintain than an image and might make things like the (currently out of date) events calendar easier to manage.
