Comments from Jennifer Kyrnin: It's interesting to me that this design is done in WordPress - as it looks nothing like a blog. This is a great example of how you can use WordPress to manage your site while not running a blog. As for the design, well, that does look like a blog in some ways - or maybe a "Web 2.0" page. There is the now-cliche'd reflections on the navigation, the gradient grey header, the blue and red accents on a black and white page. Because I've seen these design elements so often lately, they bore me. Is there some other color out there than #20a2d4 blue?
For as stark as this page is, there are a lot of graphics to dress it up. Unfortunately, I don't know that they add as much value as they take away in download speed. 34.5 seconds is a long time to wait on dial-up, and even on a T1 that's over 5 seconds. I would seriously consider looking into CSS for the navigation and perhaps getting rid of the gradient backgrounds and image list icons altogether. I would also take a strong look at the whitespace in the right column. There is so much surrounding the "J'y vaís" image that the page seems to end right there. Then when I scroll, the hexagonal image seems to just float in space - with nothing anchoring it even though the images are cut off on the right.
