Comments from developer: When designing the site, I attempted to strike a balance between the accentuated divisions of parts of the page and gloss often seen in Web 2.0, while still retaining many more traditional influences. The page is XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.1 compliant, though the W3C Validator will not validate the page, as it does not support XHTML Schema-based validation, even though using Schemas is an official W3C recommendation, but without the xsi:schemaLocation attribute, it validates completely.

Comments from Jennifer Kyrnin: As John says, the W3C validator doesn\'t like the xsi:schemaLocation attribute, but I don\'t want to change how I validate pages so I can\'t mark this one as valid. But that is the only problem. This is a very pretty site, but the choice (or lack thereof) of font is really jarring to me. The text looks very plain and a bit strange in the middle of an otherwise very stylistic site. The problem is that my computer doesn\'t have the Gentium font on it, and the next font choice is \"Times New Roman\" which is my default browser font. So it looks like he hasn\'t made a choice about the font. That\'s the danger of using a font like Times - it ends up looking like you didn\'t make a decision at all, even if you did.
