Congratulations! You have gotten osCommerce installed on your Web server. Click on the Catalog button to see your new Web store.

Important Security Steps

  1. Rename or remove the /catalog/install folder.
  2. Change the permissions on the /catalog/includes/configure.php file so that it can't be written to.
  3. Add a .htaccess password on the /catalog/admin folder so that it's password protected.

Note: if you put a .htaccess password on the directory, you will be prompted for a password twice - once by the server and once by the admin program. This may seem tedious, but is a good security practice.
