Designer: Locke

Designer Comments: hard to the eye. the header and subtile/slogan i got the confused and set the header to h6 and sub to h1 i tought the h6 was bigger.. and the color on them is the same as the background so you cant read it .. the image in the center is linking to a image on my computer cus i didnt upload the image so you cant see it .. the link on the left side is not working because i forgot to write the tag properly. the right side bar. just has advertisements.. and it doesnt match the site .. after that somemore ads.. and just a nice javascript to leave comments oh yeah and the on mouse hoer for the links.. are totally different colors of the main site.. may the best win..

Comments by Jennifer Kyrnin: Disregarding the eye-bleeding color combinations, this site has what I think is the most egregious ugly design technique on many blog sites - TOO MANY TEXT ADS. And before you lay into me about how many ads About has on our pages, I know - we have too many - I don't design the pages or make the ad deals. But, my point is that this site has more ads than content. There is one blog I've stopped reading that has a headline, three rows of Google ads, the first sentence of the blog post, more Google ads, and then the rest of the post (well down below the fold on even the longest Web browser window). Don't have more ads than content - it's ugly!

Comments from readers: I picked #6 because it was closer to reality. The others were obviously ugly but #6 was an "ugly" that was more likely to appear in the real world, so I picked it.
