Many people use their websites to sell products online. So having a product page with ecommerce is an excellent addition to your portfolio.
Design a product page for an imaginary product. Be sure to include:
- A description of the product
- An image of the product
- A call to action
- Anything else required to make the sale
Remember that the goal of a product page is to make a sale. So good product pages attempt to funnel readers directly to the store or other purchasing method. Most product pages don't have a lot of links off the page, except to the store, and good product pages provide just enough information to make the sale, but only provide addtional information on subsequent pages. Don't make the page too busy or complicated. Focus on making the sale.
