Page Information:
- Submitted by: Claude Borders
- Page Title: School Music Source
- URL: http://schoolmusicsource.com/
- Main Headline:
- Keyword phrase(s) to optimize for: Las Vegas, Music, School Music Source, Band, Chorus, Orchestra, General Music, Sheet Music
Basic SEO Checks:
Basic elements of SEO to fix.
- Is the keyword phrase good?
No
Firstly, there are way too many keyword phrases to optimize for one Web page. Because this is a home page for the site, it can be very tempting to try to optimize for lots of things - but that's counter productive. Instead, it would be better to create a separate page for each of the listed keyword phrases and try to get high ranking for those sub-pages. Then use the home page as a reference into all those pages, without worrying about it's ranking specifically. For the rest of this report I'm going to use the phrase "school music" to evaluate the page.
- Where is the keyword phrase found?
Title, Emphasized in the text, URL; With a keyword density of: 5.80%
Advanced SEO Checks:
- How many links are there to the page?
0
It's important to get related sites to link to your site with the keyword phrase you're trying to optimize for. Adding links to related sites and then requesting links from them is one way to start getting backlinks. - When was the page last modified?
unknown
Pages that are modified with significant content changes do well in search engines, but constant little changes can hurt your ranking.
- Does the page validate?
CSS - yes
The CSS mostly validates because there is none, which is an option. But using CSS and table-less layouts would make these pages easier for search engine spiders to read them.
Negative SEO:
Elements of SEO that can hurt your rank.
- Hidden content in
Frames - yes
It's great that you have noframes content, but it's very different from what your readers will see. If the search engines decide you're doing this to hide content from the readers to get better ranking that could get your site banned. It's better to not use frames at all, but if you must, make sure the content is the same on the noframes page. - URLs that are difficult to read
None Good! - Spammer tricks (that could get you banned)
None Good!
Other SEO Thoughts:
If you're serious about SEO, you'll move this page out of frames. It's very difficult to optimize a framed Web page, because spiders don't navigate through them very well. Take a look at the HTML, move away from tables and start using more CSS rather than the font tag.
