Using Tables to Do Page Layout

This technique is no longer recommended. If you want to do layout in XHTML, you should use style sheets rather than tables.

There are two primary tricks to using tables as your page layout:

1. Map out your design on paper first.
2. Don't turn off the border until you are satisified with the page.
