Customer Review
I guess that choice of anyone's favourite web-authoring software is going to be based on what they first start out with. I was introduced to DW 4 years ago as a total newbie to web design. I found it easy to get to grips with and, as my capabilities grew, I found that the software was able to meet all my growing requirements. Just recently, I decided to try to switch over to Linux, in the hope of ditching Windows completely. I tried to get DW to run under Wine in Mepis7, without success and thought I was doomed to keep on going back to XP to use DW. I then tried Kompozer but couldn't get on with it. It changed some of my code without me inputting anything and it's FTP capabilities were extremely slow.Imagine my delight when I then tried DW under Wine in Ubuntu 8.04 and found that it worked perfectly! Now I have no need to go back to Windows. I rate DW as easy for the beginner but having powerful capabilities for the more experienced author.
