There are lots of iPhone, iPad, and Android apps that are of value to web designers. In fact, I use several every day. But which one stood out for you this year as the one with the best features, the most useful, and the easiest to use?
Now is your chance to nominate the best iPhone or Android app for web designers. Nominate up to five of the best apps that you've ever seen and in February, we'll vote on the site that About.com readers think is the best.
- These should be apps that are specifically for web designers or for building, managing, and maintaining websites, not games or entertainment. In other words, Angry Birds will not be among the finalists. But you can nominate apps of this type on other About.com websites. See the Readers’ Choice Awards site for information about other nomination categories.
- Nominations must include a URL pointing to the product site or storefront for the app. Any nomination missing a URL will not be considered.
- Please include what mobile devices the app runs on. If we receive enough nominations for both iPhone/iPad apps and Android apps, I will separate the voting to separate categories.
While the number of nominations is important, all finalists are chosen by Jennifer Kyrnin, About.com Guide to Web Design and HTML. I will be choosing based on the design aesthetic of the site submitted as well as the number of nominations received. Nomination numbers will not be made public.
The 2012 About.com Readers’ Choice Awards will showcase the best products, features and services in dozens of categories. Readers’ Choice includes multiple channels ranging from technology to hobbies to parenting. Nominations will be accepted starting Jan. 18, 2012. Voting will take place from Feb. 22 through March 21 with winners announced March 30. There’s no prize—just the bragging rights that come with getting recognized by the readers of one of the most popular websites. Find out more at awards.about.com
Nominations are closed. We're sorry but we're not accepting new nominations.
