My Review

Pros

* clean code - easy to work in html

* dynamic web templates

* very powerful with many features that I am still learning about

* price was better than Dreamweaver

* I am able to insert txt, doc, and rtf, files into a web page and it converts them to html

Cons

* takes a while to learn - the more I learn, the better I like it

* requires lots of screen space to fit in all the features

I have been using Homesite as my primary html editor. I often used FrontPage when I wanted a WYSIWYG editor but I was intiminated by all the extra code that it added, which made it difficult for me to tweak the html. It also created web sites that were not compatible with all the browsers. I upgraded to Expression Web because I liked the idea that it created html that was compliant with the web standards. Now I am able to create web pages that download fast. The code is simple enough for me to work in html if I want.

I especially like Expression Web's ability to convert text files, rtf files and doc files to html.
