I have been using Optima System's entry into the web editor field for Macintosh for many years. It is called PageSpinner, the present version being 5.2.1. I am not a professional but have been developing web pages with this program with little difficulty. I don't know whether I adopted its process or it easily mind psyched me into compliance but I would, at present, be lost without its services.
Because I am not a professional, price and usefulness must be combined. Combined in such a way that I can easily see the reason to own prior to buying. It is primarily a text editor but with a linking feature which allows immediate viewing of the work on any of the browsers you may use to evaluate performance. It has a Check Page validating feature and seems routinely capable of catching my omissions and mistakes. Shortcuts, tips an examples are available in its structure of the program.
Documentation and help menus that are provided are very helpful and readily accessible.
Menu items include:
Insert, Tags, Text , Size, List, Table and Window each with drop-down features which enrich the programs usefulness.
It does not feature extensive CSS terms but is none the less capable of providing a grab of frequently used terms
